He discovers that a weapon is quickly reached on the island and starts talking with convicted murderers. During a search, a forbidden telephone is found and Ewout speaks to a father and son who are in the same cell.

Ewout accompanies the police on Curaçao and experiences everything from a wild chase and a home robbery to the arrest of a drug dealer. Poverty leads to crime and gun ownership. Ewout sees the consequences of this when he speaks to Dutch victims of robbery.

Ewout walks with the people in white suits who appear when something criminal happens somewhere: the team of the Forensic Investigation in Rotterdam. They come across things that the average citizen does not want to see, because it is simply too dirty or sinister. Ewout spends a week in the Hartelborgt juvenile detention center in Spijkenisse. Young people aged 12 to 24 are trapped here. There, Ewout discovers how criminally young the Netherlands is. He sees how group leader Kirsten, despite being bitten by one of the boys, still comes running when a fight breaks out somewhere.

6: Behind Bars At 16 (Part 2)

Ewout spends a week in the Hartelborgt juvenile detention center in Spijkenisse. Young people aged 12 to 24 are trapped here. Ewout goes along with the perpetrator of a stabbing who is allowed on leave for the first time after a year and a half in prison. He also talks to André, an employee in a department for serious psychiatric problems, and his mentor child.
